Compensation: Starting Salary of $80,000+ based on experience, including fuel card and vehicle allowance, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.

The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and implementing the budgetary and strategic initiatives of the Sales Department, specifically focusing on fuel, lubricants, DEF, and equipment. This position requires in-office work complemented by travel throughout the Eastern Tennessee region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the effectiveness of the sales team by engaging in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new sales personnel, while also facilitating ongoing technical training.
  • Support sales representatives in crafting viable prospect lists, developing a robust opportunity pipeline, and formulating innovative marketing strategies and sales proposals.
  • Maintain existing client relationships by providing technical expertise as needed, guiding the sales team in daily operations, efficient scheduling, and problem resolution, and serving as a backup for inside sales representatives when necessary.
  • Conduct regular meetings with department staff to assess budgetary performance against established goals, review pipeline configurations, and discuss weekly schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual departmental budget projections, encompassing expenses and profit targets for individual Inside Sales Representatives and the department overall.
  • Evaluate the department's field equipment and manage agreements for loaned equipment, as well as oversee repairs and installations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook and training materials, including any updates or revisions.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or a minimum of three years of sales experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business documents, with the ability to write reports and business correspondence effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching employees.
