Front Desk Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Representative to join our team at Streamsong Resort. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Registration and Room Assignments: Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
- Reservation Management: Pre-register, block reservations, and take same-day reservations and future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies.
- Check-in and Check-out: Handle guest check-ins and check-outs in accordance with hotel credit and cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Customer Complaint Resolution: Resolve customer complaints and assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, check cashing, safety boxes, etc.
- Revenue Audit and Reporting: Audit, balance, and report on all outlets (e.g., restaurants, banquets, room service, golf shop, rooms, front desk) cash and credit operations to include but not limited to settling credit cards, verifying user cash data, house account charges, postings, etc., and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information.
- Front Desk Operations: Audit, balance, post, and report on the front desk to include but not limited to room charges, phone calls, zero-balance folios, to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Room Statistical Information: Audit, balance, and prepare, verify, and report on room statistical information to provide rooms management with a picture of how they are performing.
- Revenue and Settlement Statistics: Prepare and input revenue and settlement statistics for the preparation of daily reports.
- Night Audit: Run night audit final after ensuring all revenues are in balance nightly.
- Express Checkouts: Perform the duties of a Front Desk Clerk, including express checkouts.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience required by position is from three months to one full year of employment in a related position with this Company or other organizations.
- Skills and Abilities: Requires a working knowledge of the Front Desk aspect of Interstate's services, policies, or operations and a general knowledge of the hotel. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job. Requires knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system. Ability to read and speak English. Second language is preferred.
