Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Services: Provide administrative support to management and staff, manage phone activity, and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Room Management: Register and assign rooms to guests, provide quotes for room rates, and up-sell guests when possible.
  • Cash Handling: Collect payment for charges on guest folios, ensure accurate cash handling, and balance cash and cash equivalents at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Communication: Respond to guest complaints, resolve issues within scope of authority, and refer matters to management as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Housekeeping Department to ensure seamless operations and maintain awareness of safety issues.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma preferred, minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Clerical Skills: Proficiency in typing, filing, office machine operations, cash register operation, and record maintenance.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer systems, reservations software, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, administrative, and telephone skills, with the ability to interact with diverse guests and colleagues.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and move about the property to accomplish tasks.
