Job Summary:

Micro Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales and Merchandising Manager to lead our new store opening in Miami. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving sales, merchandising, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and organized store environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead sales floor teams to resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve customer satisfaction, sales, productivity, and expense goals.
  • Ensure effective execution of visual merchandising and ad set standards.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to supervisors and sales associates to drive sales performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Review P&L statements with the General Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement sales improvement plans.
  • Participate in and lead open and close procedures, and serve as manager-in-charge during the absence of the General Manager or other store managers.
  • Manage freight flow, merchandise processing, and inventory control to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement staffing, orientation, and training programs to ensure competent supervisors and associates are hired, trained, and scheduled to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure human resource issues are handled in accordance with company guidelines, and partner with Regional HR Manager and Store Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in a high-volume retail environment, preferably in a commissioned sales environment or within the consumer electronics industry.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in all aspects of retail management, including driving sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow, and customer service.
  • Experience in human resources functions, including hiring, retaining, and coaching qualified employees.
  • Ability to execute corporate initiatives and analyze the competition.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for prolonged periods of time.
