Job Summary:

Micro Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales and Merchandising Manager to lead our new store opening in Miami. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving sales, merchandising, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and organized store environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead sales floor teams to resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner, aligning with company standards.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales, productivity, payroll, and expense goals.
  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring a compelling customer experience.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to supervisors, ensuring sales goals and results are communicated to all associates.
  • Review P&L statements with the General Manager, identifying areas for improvement and recommending sales strategies.
  • Participate in and lead open and close procedures, ensuring seamless store operations.
  • Serve as manager-in-charge during the absence of the General Manager or other store managers.
  • Manage freight flow, merchandise processing, and inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking and cycle counts.
  • Develop and implement staffing, orientation, and training programs to ensure competent supervisors and associates are hired, trained, and scheduled to meet customer needs.
  • Develop and coach supervisors and sales associates in product knowledge, solution selling, standard operating procedures, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure human resource issues are handled in accordance with company guidelines, partnering with Regional HR Manager and Store Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in a high-volume, 30,000+ square-foot store, preferably in a commissioned sales environment or within the consumer electronics industry.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in all aspects of retail management, including driving sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow, and customer service.
  • Experience in human resources functions, capable of hiring, retaining, and coaching qualified employees.
  • Ability to execute corporate initiatives and analyze the competition.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for prolonged periods of time.
