Position Summary:

The Mortgage Closing Specialist is responsible for preparing all necessary closing documentation packages in collaboration with processing, underwriting, and title company personnel for various mortgage loan types, including FHA, VA, USDA, DPA, and Conventional loans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize knowledge of CFPB/TRID ATR/QM, and TILA/RESPA regulations to create accurate Closing Disclosures and ensure timely delivery to all relevant parties.
  • Request title commitments and other closing-related documents as required.
  • Ensure balance of Closing Disclosures with all involved parties.
  • Review sales contracts, addenda, homeowner's insurance, final inspections, flood certificates, title commitments, and other relevant documents for loan closings.
  • Maintain precise closing and funding schedules.
  • Address and resolve post-closing inquiries and suspense items for closed loans.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Closing Manager.

Qualifications:

Skills and Competencies:

Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse individuals. Ability to gather, interpret, analyze, and assess information in relation to company policies and procedures. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma is required, with some college education preferred, alongside a minimum of three years of experience in the mortgage industry.
