Compensation: $31.25 USD per hour.

Shift Information: Post-training schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Purpose:

Enhances community health by efficiently managing incoming inquiries, coordinating referrals, and overseeing health records as follows:

Key Responsibilities:


•Delivers outstanding customer service as the initial contact for CHAS Health.



•Assesses caller needs and directs calls appropriately.



•Provides precise information regarding CHAS Health services, locations, and healthcare providers.


•Handles requests for health record copies; ensures all necessary documentation is complete, payments are processed, and details of requests are logged accurately. Ensures that only requested and eligible information is released.


•Manages electronic health information by processing, storing, and retrieving data. Maintains various health record systems for effective storage and retrieval.



•Completes referrals promptly, prioritizing based on urgency and date.



•Directs patients to specialists within each insurance provider's network.



•Accurately documents patient interactions, health information, and referral requests in medical records.



•Performs additional duties as assigned, supporting the mission and core values of CHAS Health.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Some college coursework is a plus. Familiarity with databases, electronic health records, and information release processes is preferred.

Skills: Strong attention to detail is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is required. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary. Compassion for patients is a must. Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting is crucial. Proficient computer skills are required. A valid driver's license and insurance are mandatory. Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, equitable, and inclusive workplace is essential.

Physical Requirements:

Majority of the day spent seated at a workstation. Ability to move around the facility occasionally. Frequent use of hands for reaching and communication. Minimal climbing, stooping, or crawling. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
