Impactful Communications Leadership Opportunity

BerlinRosen, a leading communications firm, is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Impact Team as a Vice President. This role will drive strategy and wins for account teams fighting and advancing justice in areas including reproductive rights, impact investing, labor, combating antisemitism, and environmental justice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic conversations and advance the communications strategy for multiple high-profile client accounts to deliver top-notch results for our clients
  • Develop and oversee integrated campaigns that leverage public affairs, media, and digital tactics to reach key audiences and achieve client goals
  • Directly manage and mentor staff, and provide overall strategic direction and feedback for their development and client work
  • Collaborate closely with the Impact management team to develop and inspire our team of strategists to be innovative and creative
  • Help our practice win new business and proactively expand our relationships

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in campaign politics, strategic communications, media relations, advocacy, journalism, or a related field
  • Avid consumer of news, with a strong news sense and knowledge of the media, and experience engaging and maintaining strong relationships with key reporters covering the top issues of the day
  • Personal commitment to and knowledge of social justice
  • Understanding of organizing and advocacy communications, including social media campaigning, writing for the web, local, state, or national politics, and how to engage with members of the media for both rapid response and long lead stories
  • Experience in successfully motivating, leading, and mentoring a diverse team to meet objectives
