Access Control and Surveillance Technician

Position Overview
As a key member of our team, you will oversee the setup and upkeep of electronic security solutions, ensuring optimal performance through regular maintenance, inspections, and inventory management. Your primary duties will include:

  • Leading teams on installation projects of varying complexity
  • Facilitating and documenting daily safety discussions
  • Installing central equipment in accordance with design specifications at both local and international sites
  • Configuring central equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing systems and hardware issues at local and global levels
  • Conducting on-site software commissioning and testing
  • Performing thorough inspections, evaluations, and inventory checks

Candidate Qualifications

  • Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance is required
  • A valid driver's license is necessary
  • Successful completion of a background check is mandatory
  • Educational background: High School diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training, completion of an accredited Electronics Technician program, or an Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Required Experience: 4-6 years in electronics installation and maintenance, particularly in security systems
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and effective time management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications from vendors in IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems
  • Familiarity with various security systems and operating platforms

Essential Abilities

  • Physical capabilities: lifting, climbing, reaching, along with good vision and hearing
  • Strong attention to detail and adept problem-solving skills
  • Ability to apply general rules and synthesize information effectively
