Overview:
Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accounts Receivable Management to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day and strategic management of our Physician Central Billing Offices accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies to improve revenue cycle performance and cash collections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize revenue cycle metrics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physician billing office, provider relations, IT, and performance and optimization teams.
- Provide leadership and guidance to A/R managers and representatives, and ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
- Identify and support operational performance improvement initiatives related to revenue enhancement and provide direction and oversight of processes impacting cash collections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, Master's degree highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in ambulatory practice management, revenue cycle management, or healthcare consulting, with experience with professional billing for surgical providers strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance payor behaviors and reimbursement policies required.
- Strong financial acumen, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to inspire confidence in executive leadership.
- Ability to develop, organize, and present analytical data, statistical reports in various formats, and distill complex billing situations into actionable follow-up.
What We Offer:
Hospital for Special Surgery offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $200,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
