Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

Position Summary
The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for overseeing the organization's business development and sales operations. This role involves both direct engagement and leadership of a dedicated team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Formulating and executing comprehensive sales strategies to meet corporate expansion objectives.
- Building and nurturing strong client relationships while identifying and pursuing new business prospects aligned with the company's growth vision.
- Conducting thorough market research to assess customer requirements, technological capabilities, and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning.
- Leading the creation and implementation of the business development framework, strategies, and processes aimed at driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Generating regular sales reports detailing performance metrics, potential sales opportunities, and areas for customer base enhancement.
- Overseeing the decision-making process regarding bids, proposal development, and opportunity capture, including negotiations and deal closures.
- Engaging with key clients to support the sales and business development teams in fostering and maintaining relationships.
- Evaluating sales data to inform policy decisions and enhance lead generation efforts while managing less profitable items in the sales portfolio.
- Representing the organization at industry events to promote product offerings.
- Facilitating communication between the Business Development team and operational leadership to support strategic initiatives.
Leadership Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor the assigned business development team.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are required:
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree along with five to ten years of relevant managerial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment
While the location is flexible, proximity to key business units and clients is preferred. Travel may be necessary to meet business and customer needs.
Language Proficiency
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and financial documents. Proficient in responding to inquiries from clients and stakeholders and effectively presenting information to senior management and boards.
