As the Senior Vice President of Operations - MasterTax, you will manage the comprehensive operations of MasterTax, a payroll tax software and services entity dedicated to assisting clients in minimizing payroll tax processing durations and compliance risks.

You will spearhead the identification, evaluation, and formulation of business cases while driving ongoing enhancements in the service sector.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the organization meets or surpasses operational and financial objectives, encompassing profitability, revenue growth, client retention, quality, and employee retention.

You will recruit, nurture, and retain talent across all organizational levels, with a significant emphasis on both new business and existing client revenue.

Collaboration with sales leadership will be essential in expanding the business, managing deals, addressing market challenges and competitiveness, evaluating competitor threats, and aligning service performance with client feedback.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership:

Lead initiatives aimed at achieving financial excellence within the business, measured by key performance indicators such as revenue, sales, net operating income, client retention, and net promoter score (NPS).

Ensure the organization meets or exceeds its financial targets each fiscal year.
Oversee a budget exceeding $80 million.
Respond to both internal and external requests for financial, client service, and other reporting needs.
Manage client pricing in accordance with MasterTax guidelines.
Ensure client profitability.
Develop and maintain a robust organizational structure for the business unit, managing resources to achieve profitability and business objectives.

Analyze operational results against approved plans and objectives, taking necessary actions to address performance shortfalls.

Direct talent requirements within local departments to meet profit plan objectives and capacity needs.
Oversee capital planning and expenditures.

Operational Leadership:
Provide leadership to achieve operational excellence by meeting or exceeding established metrics related to quality and compliance standards, operational efficiency, productivity methods, and project plans for product introductions.
Represent ADP in dealings with clients and suppliers while adhering to MasterTax procedures.

Collaborate closely with sales executives to acquire new business within the MasterTax model and retain existing business.

Ensure a positive client experience and engagement through activities focused on client feedback and goal attainment, including client roundtables and prospect visits to align MasterTax with client priorities.
Assist in defining role-based client experience strategies and adjust service delivery based on feedback while maintaining business profitability and margin goals.

Employer of Choice:
Manage all service and operations personnel to achieve the business's stated objectives.

Support senior leadership in developing business strategies and operational policies to ensure the attainment of Employer of Choice initiatives, measured by associate engagement, turnover, and diversity.
Establish clear direction for staff to achieve these initiatives.
Ensure that plans and policies are effectively communicated and implemented by department heads.

Utilize strategic objectives as a foundation for performance management and incentive programs for department heads and other associates.

Direct the acquisition, retention, and ongoing development of key human resources throughout the organization.

Ensure the establishment of recruiting, training, and development programs, performance management, and reward systems to achieve high productivity levels for long-term success, while complying with all relevant laws and regulations.

Maintain effective communication systems with associates.
Resolve conflicts between departments.
Manage special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a business-related field.
Experience: 7 to 10 years in a senior operations role within a fast-paced service environment, with at least 5 years of progressive managerial experience. Familiarity with Employment Tax and experience in the Insurance/Healthcare industry is advantageous. Strong leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration are essential.
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve aggressive operational goals, identify and develop talent, and effectively manage client relationships.
Possess an executive presence and the ability to build strong relationships across all organizational levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree.
Prior experience managing or leading a software business.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of managing diverse resources within a matrix environment toward common objectives.
