We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as an Independent Support Companion. As a valued member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of an adult client with developmental disabilities, living in Cambridge.

This rewarding role involves providing support and companionship to our client, promoting their independence and well-being. Your key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with the individual and providers, ensuring their safety and comfort.

You will also be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, providing encouragement and positive companionship, and ensuring all relevant information is communicated and documented. In addition, you will have the flexibility to work a different job during the day, while supporting your evening and night hours commitments.

As a member of our team, you will receive a stipend fee of $125 per week, plus a range of benefits, including respite breaks and opportunities for growth and development. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of experience working with intellectually disabled or developmental disability adults
  • Intermediate computer software skills and communication skills
  • A valid MA driver's license

The estimated salary for this role is approximately $13,000 - $15,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on industry standards and location.
