Home Support Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Home Support Worker to join our team. As a Home Support Worker, you will work closely with clients to provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. You will also provide companionship and emotional support to clients, help with mobility, and document services provided.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help clients with mobility, including transfers and walking.
- Document services provided and communicate changes in the client's condition to the supervisor.
- Report any changes in health status or unusual behaviors to appropriate staff.
- Follow care plans as outlined and ensure all client needs are met.
- Transportation to and from appointments.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an agency-specific training program, and ability to pass a criminal background check. Previous experience in caregiving is preferred but not required. You must also be able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors, and certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
