Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for overseeing the Quality Assurance Program related to HVAC operations, ensuring compliance with established ISO standards and procedures. This role involves the development, management, and daily execution of the quality assurance program, requiring comprehensive training in relevant responsibilities, including instructional design, quality monitoring, inspection methodologies, and data management and analysis.

Work Schedule: Flexible Part-Time or Full-Time, 2-3 days per week (Monday - Friday, between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Compensation: $44.57 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain quality management plans and documentation to ensure HVAC projects are executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Implement the Quality Assurance Program throughout the contract for HVAC-specific work orders.
  • Engage in the development, management, and daily operations of the Quality Assurance Program, including training in instructional design, quality monitoring, inspection techniques, and data management.
  • Oversee and authorize the procurement of safety supplies and equipment, ensuring proper safety training for employees and subcontractors.
  • Document daily field activities, prepare material submittal sheets, shop drawing submissions, and quality control reports.
  • Establish and uphold quality standards for services provided.
  • Recommend necessary adjustments to preventive maintenance processes.
  • Advise HVAC Mechanics on efficient work practices and ticket completion.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on maintained services and equipment.
  • Perform random inspections to evaluate service quality.
  • Complete weekly and monthly quality checks on preventive and reactive maintenance work related to HVAC systems.
  • Ensure accurate completion of assigned maintenance work tickets.
  • Manage quality management plans and documentation to guarantee project completion within budget, on schedule, and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Assist with logistical and administrative tasks as required.
  • Support project management in developing integrated logistics support.
  • Ensure site team understands the operations and maintenance contract scope.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and training programs, reinforcing requirements within the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, ISO Standards, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with commercial HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems.
  • Experience in operations and maintenance within commercial buildings.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and project leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated project estimating skills with the ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, business management, statistics, or a related field.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification.
  • USACE QCM certification.
  • HVAC journeyman license in Virginia.

  • Repetitive movements involving feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, and back.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately.
  • Capability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work at heights up to 30 feet.
