Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our aircraft maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Inspect and verify proper completion and documentation of safety and flight discrepancies.
- Brief and debrief pilots and crew members assigned to functional check flights.
- Evaluate Contractor personnel, including verification of skills, training, and experience.
- Perform audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment, and facilities.
- Examine parts and components for conformance to design specification and determine serviceability.
- Determine if parts/components are serviceable, unserviceable-reparable, unserviceable-non-reparable; affix completed appropriate form/tag for disposition; returns to stock, and routes to appropriate shop for repair and/or turn-in.
- Monitor timeliness and applicability of aircraft maintenance technical data and technical library.
- Review maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes recurring discrepancies or trends, and initiates appropriate action.
- Manage the material deficiency and technical order improvement program.
- Review engineering investigation requests.
- Initiate and review quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports, and hazardous material reports to ensure reports are accurate, clear, concise, and comprehensive.
- Receive and review aircraft and explosive mishap reports for applicability.
- Oversee aircraft weight and balance program.
- Conduct safety inspections, training, and drills.
- Efficiently prepare and maintain reports.
- Perform inspections of egress equipment to ensure compliance with egress mechanics and inspects cartridge activated devices.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the field consistent with the quality assurance requirements contained herein.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems or other technology as applicable to fabrication, repair, and operation and maintenance requirements.
- Capable of reviewing others' work and determining accuracy and conformity to standards.
- Education requirement: High School diploma or GED.
- Experience with military rotary aviation preferred.
- Top Secret Security Clearance Required. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Top Secret Security Clearance.
- S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N experience preferred.
