Position Summary
STRATEGIC OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
The primary objective of a Strategic Operations Supervisor is to enhance and sustain revenue by overseeing a designated set of accounts with defined sales targets. These targets will be set on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Success will be achieved by adhering to our established sales methodology to create a plan for the continuous growth and advancement of assigned accounts. This position acts as a liaison between the sales and carrier teams to establish success metrics for each client, ensuring that RIVERSIDE TRANSPORT GROUP clients receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster client relationships to secure additional business and stimulate organic growth.
- Respond to and manage freight requests from significant customer load boards.
- Handle freight inquiries from various customer communications.
- Provide competitive pricing for requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Conduct regular service review meetings with clients.
- Monitor personal portfolio metrics (revenue, margin, forecasts, etc.).
- Implement the sales process effectively to manage accounts.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the logistics brokerage sector.
- Strategically address customer challenges to deliver our value propositions.
- Resolve any issues that arise from pickup to delivery.
- Collaborate with customer service representatives to set accurate pickup and delivery schedules.
- Work alongside the carrier team and customer service to manage any additional charges.
- Meet daily performance targets set by management and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with the carrier sales team and customer service to gather all necessary customer information.
- Utilize company systems efficiently to perform all broker/dispatch functions.
- Maintain precise billing information for each order assigned to carriers and communicate with relevant departments.
- Provide accurate data on rates and approvals to ensure timely billing.
- Supply proof of delivery or bill of lading upon request for each assigned order.
- Be available for on-call duties as required by management.
- Ensure the proper care of all office equipment.
