Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dedicated Fleet Manager to join our team at Riverside Transport Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated fleet of drivers and ensuring optimal performance in key areas such as data entry accuracy, driver turnover, utilization, on-time service, and overall safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a dedicated fleet of drivers, ensuring data entry accuracy and minimizing coding errors on service failures.
  • Monitor and maintain driver turnover rates, ensuring they stay within the ideal range.
  • Optimize fleet utilization, mileage, and on-time service, while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
  • Communicate with drivers on road conditions, restrictions, and preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Escalate driver complaints and attendance issues to HR in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Load Planners and other Fleet Managers to plan future workload and maintain equipment.
  • Work with Service and Breakdown departments to ensure equipment is adequately maintained and meets service schedules.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • 3-year experience in transportation.
  • Demonstrates decision-making ability with little supervision.
  • Intermediate user ability for Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-year degree in a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and plan ahead of rapidly changing situations.
