Product Line Director

The Product Line Manager is responsible for leading a cross-functional team to drive profitable growth for Power Switching products and solutions in utility and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve financial plans and customer service targets by leading budgeting, marketing, sales, and strategic planning processes.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate customer product orders and backlog to achieve production loading objectives at maximum profit.
- Maintain current knowledge and expertise of product engineering technologies, new product designs, competitor capabilities, and market conditions.
- Establish and maintain contact with customers for effective product marketing and sales, and lead a program of Voice of the Customer for existing and new markets.
- Develop, maintain, and update product documentation and sales enablement tools to include presentations, website, and e-marketing materials.
- Develop pricing policies and sales strategies to fit the changing market and meet all financial plans.
- Execute product launches working closely with marketing communications, engineering, sales, and operations teams.
- Provide forecast information to operations and participate in sales and operational planning.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Ten years of experience in a role supplying power engineering solutions or products for electric utility and industrial power systems.
- Seven years of experience outside field sales and/or product marketing.
- Technical competence of electrical power systems.
- Effective communicator at all levels, skilled in delivering formal presentations.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- MBA or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Power Systems emphasis.
- Previous experience as a Product Line Manager in power systems products/solutions for utility or industrial markets.
- Minimum of 5 years Leadership/Management of people experience.
- Broad perspective of business operations, preferably in a job shop.
