Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for generating leads and referrals, building relationships within the community, and selling and providing our customers with home accessibility solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Meet with clients and their families at pre-scheduled appointments to assess their needs and provide recommendations for home accessibility solutions.
- Produce referrals to exceed monthly sales quotas for location and territory, utilizing your sales and knowledge of state regulations to work with all locations to ensure a positive outcome for clients and families.
- Manage and grow territory key accounts or partners, building strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Conduct needs assessments of homes and discuss with clients recommendations that will enable them to safely and effectively navigate activities of daily living, such as entering and leaving the home, moving from one level to another in the home, utilizing bathrooms, bedrooms, and other areas where movement can cause a fall.
- Present solutions to clients and customers, demonstrating how these life-changing solutions can be installed into the home.
- Utilize Lifeway tools and measurement protocols to determine the feasibility of Lifeway products that are needed.
- Produce estimates and proposals for customers, handling objections and assisting in purchase options, financing, and rental options.
- Complete documentation for new clients and work with operations teams to ensure all appropriate paperwork is in place to set up a client for installation.
- Respond to client questions and concerns, assessing client needs, status, and tolerance issues, troubleshooting, and making recommendations as indicated or requested.
- Determine eligibility for any assistance and perform any other duties assigned.
- Candidate ideally should have between 3-5 years of sales experience, with some healthcare and/or residential equipment sales preferred.
- Experience in both B2B and B2C sales, including in-home sales, is preferred.
- Established community relationships/connections/referrals (contacts/referrals) are essential.
- Proven excellent people and relationship skills (referral sources, patients, family members, general public) are required.
- Strong ability to present and effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) is necessary.
- Ability to work well independently as well as in groups is essential.
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated, self-starter, trustworthy, empathetic, problem-solving skills are required.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with local and federal regulations are necessary.
- Post-secondary school degree is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally are required.
- Must be able to work in ERP and other company software systems.
- Must maintain company and employee confidentiality at all times.
- Must maintain professional boundaries at all times.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations is essential.
- Attention to detail and time management skills are necessary.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are required.
- Excellent organization and communication skills are essential.
