Job Overview

Attention to detail is vital, as the Host / Hostess acts as the intermediary between guests and both front-of-house and back-of-house staff, striving to deliver an exceptional dining experience that aligns with the esteemed standards of Estiatorio Milos.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warmly welcomes and greets guests as they arrive, maintaining a seamless flow at the entrance and throughout the dining area.
  • Ensures guests are comfortable while waiting, guiding them to the bar or directly to their assigned table.
  • Manages the check-in process, including the storage and retrieval of guests' outerwear and personal items.
  • Participates in pre-service and closing duties, including printing menus and updating shift summary notes.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively in both positive and challenging situations, confidently addressing guest inquiries.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of menu items and their ingredients.
  • Handles phone inquiries regarding reservations, availability, restaurant hours, and services.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador for Estiatorio Milos, embodying the core values of the company in all interactions.
  • Maintains appropriate levels of stationery in the reception area at all times.
  • Engages with guests as they depart to ensure a memorable dining experience.
Qualifications
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a high-end dining environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
  • Capable of multitasking and receptive to feedback and guidance.
  • Familiarity with POS and reservation systems is a plus.

Compensation: Hourly wage range: $22-$25/hour
