About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at La Clinica del Valle. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide professional and welcoming service to patients and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Collect and enter patient information accurately and securely into our electronic health record system, ensuring all consents are scanned into our practice management system within 24 hours.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurance eligibility and obtain benefit details through provider portals and websites, ensuring that patients are aware of their coverage and any out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Financial Management: Assess patients' financial status and refer them to financial support programs and benefit enrollment specialists as needed, ensuring that patients are aware of their options and can access the care they need.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Check-in patients for appointments across various care modalities, manage schedules through our centralized booking system, and support outreach to patients about upcoming appointments and needed care.
  • Payment and Billing: Collect payments, co-pays, and accurately apply payments to patient accounts, issuing receipts to patients as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve workflows, identify gaps, and enhance patient experience, ensuring that our clinic meets the highest standards of quality and care.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1 year experience in a medical, dental, or customer service setting preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
