Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at La Clinica Del Valle. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing administrative functions, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide professional and welcoming service to patients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Collect and enter patient information accurately and securely into electronic health records, verify insurance eligibility, and schedule appointments.
  • Financial Management: Collect payments, co-pays, and accurately apply payments to patient accounts, issue receipts, and connect patients with the Billing Department to resolve billing questions or create payment plans.
  • Communication and Coordination: Support clinical team with scheduling, referrals, authorizations, pre-visit prep, and other needs, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve workflows and enhance patient experience.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete data entry, documentation, and reporting in practice management and EHR systems accurately and completely, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies, regulatory requirements, patient resources, and clinic offerings.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1 year experience in a medical, dental, or customer service setting preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities, proficiency with computers, tablets, and mobile devices, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
