This role requires thorough and accurate description of compliance and regulatory documents, while maintaining patient relations, customer satisfaction, and Asante's financial solvency.
Key Responsibilities- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Registration and Insurance Verification: Accurately register patients and verify insurance coverage to ensure seamless billing and payment processes.
- Telephone Coverage and Data Entry: Provide excellent telephone support and accurately enter patient data into the system.
- Filing Protected Health Information (PHI): Safely and securely store and retrieve patient records, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Patient Referrals and Point-of-Service Collections: Facilitate patient referrals and collect payments at the point of service, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Education: Associate degree in business, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a Patient Access Representative level 1 role or equivalent for PAR2, or previous patient registration experience or related customer service, administrative, and/or data entry experience for PAR1.
- Licensure/Certifications: Certified Healthcare Access Associate through the National Association of Healthcare Access Management is preferred.
