Position Overview:
We are looking for a Lead Technical Accountant to enhance our corporate finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and improving financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide the organization in the adoption of new accounting and reporting standards.
  • Serve as a technical accounting authority for major corporate initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to boost operational efficiency.
  • Formulate and enforce accounting policies to guarantee that external financial statements adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and that internal reports align with established guidelines.
  • Act as the primary contact for technical accounting inquiries, including SEC guidance and FASB standards.
  • Facilitate the rollout of new accounting standards and review proposed regulations.
  • Provide expert technical accounting advice for complex transactions.
  • Collaborate with global finance teams and external auditors on accounting policy issues.
  • Support compliance with internal controls and engage with audit teams on control matters.
  • Coordinate audit requests with both internal and external auditors.
  • Work collaboratively across departments, including Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Internal Audit.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is essential.
  • MBA is advantageous.
  • CPA certification is mandatory for this position.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting is required.
  • Familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in an accounting policy role, preferably with Big 4 or relevant industry experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
