Job Summary:

The Technical Solutions Architect collaborates with business unit stakeholders and IS teams to integrate information, technologies, and capabilities, crafting effective solutions to tackle business challenges. This role is pivotal in analyzing, defining, and developing essential long-term technical capabilities and solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Engage with business stakeholders, Business Systems Analysts, Project Managers, Software Developers, and IS Development Managers to formulate potential solutions for business requirements.

2. Document solution designs, processes, key requirements, and assumptions.

3. Consult with Project Managers to comprehend project scopes and identify potential work bodies and existing capabilities for various IS teams.

4. Collaborate with IS Development Managers to assess the effort required for proposed solutions.

5. Work alongside Project Managers and Business Systems Analysts to establish requirements and the product backlog; participate in backlog grooming and priority settings as necessary.

6. Partner with IS Development Managers and Business Intelligence Developers to ensure solutions align with both business needs and technical standards for scalability and sustainability.

7. Identify and advocate for the development of missing and necessary capabilities.

8. Recognize areas where the IS Business Intelligence (ISBI) department can support business objectives.

9. Collaborate with business units and project managers to map ISBI capabilities and business roadmaps, assisting with related documentation.

10. Participate in the selection and vetting process for new products, systems, and capabilities, which may involve issuing RFPs, engaging with vendors, and evaluating various options.

11. Act as project manager for cross-team capabilities and development activities as required.

12. Provide peer review and mentorship to technical staff at all levels, sharing significant business impact updates.

13. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Experience and Education:

Required:

- Minimum 7 years of experience in technical roles related to solutions architecture, including the integration of multiple heterogeneous systems and third-party products (applicants with a bachelor's degree in IS, CIS, MIS, or related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience may be considered).

- Minimum 2 years of experience developing software solutions involving 3 or more of the following: web, mobile, data warehousing, and analytics.

Preferred:

- Experience in the healthcare industry.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge:

- Expert-level knowledge of Azure platform capabilities and solution architectures such as Data Factory, Logic Apps, etc.

- Proficiency with SQL, C#, and Snowflake.

- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and current technology landscape.

- In-depth understanding of data integration best practices and leading industry applications.

- Familiarity with the basic concepts of managed care and health insurance business entities.

Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including software engineers, organizational leadership, clients, and vendors.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines.

- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
