Position Overview

As a key player in our Design and Manufacturing division, you will collaborate with Account-based sales executives and Channel Partners to drive new sales initiatives.

This position requires strategic vision to formulate account strategies, a deep understanding of industry dynamics, and proficiency in Autodesk tools to demonstrate value to our customers.

This is a remote position based in the US, aligned with your assigned accounts, reporting directly to your Technical Sales Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess customer strategies and provide insights on how Autodesk solutions can support their objectives.
  • Act as the primary technology expert within account teams, leading customer planning and engagement processes.
  • Develop a compelling technical business case for Autodesk offerings through collaborative discovery workshops.
  • Position Autodesk technology as a catalyst for achieving customer outcomes.
  • Guide the technical discovery process to identify and address customer business challenges.
  • Present findings and proposed solutions to clients effectively.
  • Manage technical relationships, collaborating with internal experts to deliver the right knowledge during sales interactions.
  • Identify and cultivate advocates within accounts to enhance the success of Autodesk solutions.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership to differentiate Autodesk in the marketplace.
  • Work closely with Channel Partners and Customer Success teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and product adoption.
  • Deliver impactful presentations that resonate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Communicate Autodesk's competitive advantages to customers.
  • Monitor customer successes to realize future value opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and innovate strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Influence product development through customer feedback and market insights.
  • Provide mentorship to Channel Partners on technical sales initiatives.

Customer Planning

In collaboration with sales executives and channel partners, you will develop and execute all technical aspects of account plans, ensuring alignment with strategies for closing business within designated accounts.

Customer Closure

Engage with customer decision-makers to secure technical agreement on proposed solutions.

Craft and present proposals and demonstrations that address specific business issues.

Articulate and sell Autodesk's unique value proposition in various sales scenarios.

Gather metrics to quantify and justify the customer's return on investment, supporting their goals and outcomes.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in the Engineering sector.
  • Technical expertise in Autodesk Design and Manufacturing solutions, including Inventor, Vault, AutoCAD, Fusion Manage, or similar software.
  • Strong skills in sales and persuasion.
  • Ability to manage workload independently while balancing priorities.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-70% for customer engagements and Autodesk events.

Salary Transparency

For U.S.-based sales roles, the expected starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) range is between $152,400 and $220,550, based on experience and location. In addition to base salaries, we emphasize annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a robust benefits package.
