Job Title: Program Manager - Transportation Engineering Services

We are excited to present a unique opportunity with Amazon as a Program Manager within the Transportation Engineering Services (TES) Project Management Office (PMO) Team.

In this position, you will work closely with both internal and external partners to facilitate Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and Amazon Extra Large – Special Handling Heavy/Bulky (AMXL) during the pre-construction and construction management stages.

  • Oversee and direct the entire lifecycle of new and ongoing programs/initiatives, ensuring the successful delivery of multiple complex projects that align with organizational goals.
  • Engage with the appropriate stakeholders, customers, and partner teams to effectively communicate and influence key business initiatives, while developing and delivering scalable, cross-functional solutions.
  • Establish, implement, and manage KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing stakeholders with insights into program performance and utilizing this data to inform business decisions.
  • Assist partner and stakeholder teams in making informed trade-offs by evaluating the implications for the business and customer.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance program quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.

A day in the life of the PMO

Your typical day will involve coordinating with stakeholders, monitoring progress against business objectives and metrics, and managing program initiatives.

About the team

The TES team is composed of a diverse, energetic, and innovative group of engineers and managers who work collaboratively to develop the cutting-edge physical assets that our customers expect.

Basic qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • 3+ years of experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLookUps) and SQL.
  • Experience collaborating across functions with both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience in driving process improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, engaging with multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Experience in building processes, project management, and scheduling.
