Job Title: Program Manager - Transportation Engineering Services

We are excited to present a unique opportunity with Amazon as a Program Manager within the Transportation Engineering Services (TES) Project Management Office (PMO) Team.

In this position, you will work closely with both internal and external partners to assist Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and Amazon Extra Large – Special Handling Heavy/Bulky (AMXL) during the pre-construction and construction management stages.

  • Oversee and direct the lifecycle of new and ongoing programs/initiatives, effectively delivering multiple complex projects that align with organizational goals.
  • Engage relevant stakeholders, customers, and partner teams to communicate and influence critical business initiatives, while designing and implementing cross-functional, scalable solutions.
  • Establish, execute, and manage KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reporting for a range of programs, ensuring stakeholders have visibility into program performance, and utilize this information to inform business decisions.
  • Assist partner and stakeholder teams in making informed trade-offs by evaluating the impact on business and customer outcomes.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance program quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Your typical day will involve coordinating with stakeholders, monitoring progress against business objectives and metrics, and managing program initiatives.

About the team

The Transportation Engineering Services (TES) team facilitates the growth of Amazon's transportation network by overseeing the construction of new facilities and executing retrofits, expansions, and initiatives on the existing infrastructure.

Members of the TES team are a diverse, energetic, creative, and critically-minded group of engineers and managers dedicated to developing the innovative physical assets our customers expect.

Basic qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • 3+ years of experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives utilizing data and metrics.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLookUps) and SQL.
  • Experience collaborating across functions with both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading process improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, engaging with multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Experience in developing processes, project management, and scheduling.
