Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, manage, and retain a diverse group of volunteers to support community programs and events.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase community awareness and engagement with the organization's mission and services.
  • Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to design and deliver volunteer projects and community events that meet the needs of the community.
  • Research and identify opportunities for community outreach and engagement, and develop proposals to implement these initiatives.
  • Create and disseminate marketing materials to promote the organization's impact and services to various audiences.
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and the community, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for volunteers and community members.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and able to work independently, and have a strong passion for community engagement and volunteerism. The following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. non-profit management, community development, communications).
  • 1-2 years of experience in community engagement, volunteer management, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable access to transportation.
  • U.S. citizenship, national, or lawful permanent resident status.
  • National Service Criminal History Check clearance.
