Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Computer Support Specialist to join our IT team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-level technical support and guidance to our information technology application and equipment users. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the availability and proper day-to-day operation of our IT systems and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level support for all corporate computer assets globally (on-site and remote) using Straumann-provided tools and systems in a help/service desk environment.
  • Responsible for Straumann IT hardware management, including procurement of small hardware components such as computers, printers, and other peripherals/accessories.
  • Install and modify hardware components and software applications.
  • Perform actual computer/peripheral/component repair. Acts as liaison to effect repairs that require outside vendor involvement.
  • Ensure that all PC's, peripherals, and networks are functioning correctly and are available for intended use.
  • Support Audio/Video environment, Phone, Cell phone and Video Conference System.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to system and network users.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in information systems or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years' experience in information systems, including hardware and network support.
  • 4+ years' working in an onsite IT helpdesk environment.
  • 4+ years' Knowledge of and experience in PC repair and maintenance (PC and Mac, NICs, Patch Cabling, Printers, Scanners, etc.).
  • 4+ years' Knowledge of and experience with PC applications. (AWS, Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, Web, Mac OSX, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience.
  • Speaking Spanish, Portuguese, and/or, German.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Experience in simple system/server administration and computer networking.
