Job Summary

The IT/AV Support Specialist is a key member of the Navarro College team, responsible for providing technical assistance and support to faculty, staff, and students. This role requires a strong customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computer hardware and software, as well as enterprise system software.
  • Install, update, and maintain end-user and lab PCs, printers, and other endpoint devices.
  • Communicate effectively with users to understand and resolve technical issues.
  • Establish priorities on Service Desk tickets based on established departmental guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist other IT technical staff as requested.
  • Identify complex, multi-faceted problems and take immediate action to address them.
  • Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of related work experience in either IT and/or AV.
  • Associates degree.
  • Microsoft certifications.
  • A + Certification (additional experience and education may be substituted for certification).
Working Conditions
  • Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
  • Busy working environment with numerous interruptions.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing and proof of automobile insurance as off-campus travel may be required.
  • Must be insurable by the College insurance policy.
  • Must be available by cell phone.
  • Travel is required to all campuses.
Salary

$36,747 annually (This is a 12-month position to be paid over 12 months)
