Position Overview:

AVIAN is seeking a part-time Senior Engineer to provide remote support for our client in the Unmanned Maritime Systems sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize scientific and mathematical principles to research and develop cost-effective solutions to technical challenges.
  • Act as a bridge between identified social needs and commercial applications.
  • Design products and machinery, and implement enhanced methods for extracting, processing, and utilizing raw materials.
  • Innovate new materials that enhance product performance while leveraging technological advancements.
  • Evaluate the environmental impact of developed products and designed systems on users.
  • Assist in testing, production, or maintenance by overseeing factory operations, diagnosing breakdown causes, and ensuring quality control of manufactured products.
  • Estimate project timelines and costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience providing engineering support for the Department of Defense.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
