Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead project management initiatives
- Provide guidance to the construction management team
- Foster continuous improvement and training among staff
- Prepare and present monthly project status updates
- Oversee and implement quality assurance and quality control programs
- Facilitate project progress meetings
- Offer administrative support for contracts
- Supervise project inspectors and support personnel, including subcontractors
- Assess project claims and delays, coordinating timely resolutions
- Develop project cost estimates and budgets

Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional Engineer license in Florida, or the ability to obtain it within six months
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management for civil highway and bridge projects
- Preferable experience with state transportation projects
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within state agencies
- Familiarity with construction and administrative procedures and programs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, proposal development, and contractor methods for typical roadway construction tasks
- Exceptional critical thinking abilities
