Your Role:

The Business Development Manager will oversee account management within the electrical contracting sector, focusing on nurturing client relationships, managing sales pipelines, and finalizing contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research to identify and prioritize potential clients, emerging markets, and innovative projects.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies for targeted markets and initiatives outlined in the Marketing Plan.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials.
  • Guide and mentor Business Development Associates in delivering impactful presentations and proposals.
  • Act as the primary contact for prospective and existing clients to ensure their needs are met consistently.
  • Coordinate pre-construction activities throughout the sales process until contract closure.
  • Manage projects through all phases of development, from inception to construction completion, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Provide budgeting support to clients as needed.
  • Enhance and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Organize and manage exhibit booths at industry events.
  • Regularly travel to meet with clients.
  • Engage with professional organizations and networks.
  • Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business unit.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in building relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development, construction management, or project oversight.
  • A combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Essential Skills:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create professional proposals and presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances with a positive outlook.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
  • Professional interaction with all levels of staff, clients, and vendors.
Travel Requirements:
  • 15-30% travel may be required.
Working Environment:
  • Typical office environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and typing.
  • Noise levels may vary, with potential exposure to louder environments on job sites.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs may be necessary.

Compensation: The expected salary range for this position is between $133,000 and $175,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
