San Francisco, California, United States Checkout Full time
Job Description

At Checkout, we're on a mission to enable businesses and their communities to thrive in the digital economy. As a Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you'll play a critical role in driving growth and managing a book of partners in the North America market.

You'll be responsible for growing and deepening our partnerships with agencies, system integrators, complementary technology partners, and payment consultancies. Based in San Francisco and reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, you'll have ownership over how we partner with key stakeholders in the e-commerce and payment ecosystems.

This is a hands-on and highly cross-functional role, where you'll work with some of the brightest minds in payments & fintech across product, engineering, sales, and marketing. With a combination of strategy, scrappiness, and grit, you'll build and expand relationships with key stakeholders to ensure Checkout is always top of mind and a 'partner-of-choice'.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive net new revenue to Checkout via brand new and existing strategic partnerships
  • Lead all aspects of partner management across the region, including relationship development and growth, implementation of GTM strategies, performance discussions, distribution and enablement of Checkout products and integrations through partners
  • Drive partnership growth through ongoing partner sales enablement initiatives, account mapping, marketing campaigns, and partnership collaboration with quantifiable results in mind
  • Balance resourceful outreach with data-driven focus, tracking success through KPIs and working closely with the regional sales leader to prioritize workload and deliver results in tandem, ensuring alignment at all times
  • Organize and attend partner meetups, industry events, and other in-person meetings to deepen relationships, becoming a critical voice and evangelizing Checkout, our products and integrations to net new and existing partners
  • Execute on and track quarterly revenue targets and other key success metrics for the partner portfolio

Requirements:

  • Experience in Partnerships, Business Development, Sales, or Account Management roles at a technology, e-commerce, payments, or financial services company
  • Well-connected in the e-commerce and fintech space, preferably with a network of key agencies, SI and complementary technology partners
  • Understanding of payments preferred, or ability to quickly learn complex concepts
  • Confident in relationship building and public speaking with high EQ and a sense of humility and humor
  • Able to flourish in a fast-paced start-up environment: proactive, self-motivated, results-oriented, and organized
  • Having a high degree of initiative and self-direction with the ability to develop comprehensive partnership strategies - and follow through on them
  • Collaborative and open, with experience working with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams preferred
