About the Role

ML Crane Group is seeking an experienced and driven Executive Vice President of Operations to lead operations across multiple branches, including strategic planning, leadership, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will provide a culture of safety, drive company growth, and uphold our commitment to the energy sector, particularly within renewable energy and logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations across all branches, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for optimizing operations and improving efficiency.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Drive operational performance improvement by analyzing data, developing strategies, and implementing best practices.
  • Mentor and develop branch managers and other leaders using a servant leadership approach.
  • Hold teams accountable for achieving operational goals and KPIs, while fostering a culture of responsibility and high performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, and safety to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Engage in regular site visits across multiple locations to ensure continuous operational excellence.
  • Monitor and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising safety or service quality.
  • Develop strategic plans for continuous growth and improvement, particularly in the renewable wind energy sector.
  • Minimize non-billable hours and maximize director labor to indirect labor ratio.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a VP of Operations or similar executive role, overseeing multi-branch operations.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and accountability across teams.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing SOPs.
  • Strong servant leadership mentality, with a focus on team development and empowerment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to various branch locations.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the crane industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of Lean Methodology, 5S, root cause analysis, and Poka-yoke exposure mitigation.
  • Proficiency in fleet cost & care software (FCC or NexGen).
  • Knowledge of Power BI for data analysis.
  • Experience with Motive for logistics and fleet management.
  • Expertise in 3D Lift Planning.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Familiarity with LESSON Work Planner.
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of crane load charts.
