Position Overview:

Job Title: Controls Sales Professional

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture relationships with potential clients in the construction industry.
  • Create and deliver automation sales presentations, actively prospect for new projects, and provide competitive quotes to contractors.
  • Oversee all phases of construction bidding processes.
  • Participate in industry trade shows for networking and account management.
  • Research and identify prospective projects through various channels such as Bid Boards, phone outreach, site visits, and industry events.
  • Engage with potential clients including mechanical contractors, general contractors, consulting engineers, end users, and electrical contractors.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, Project Managers, and Engineering Team to continuously enhance current programs to achieve strategic goals.
  • Utilize analytical and solution-oriented approaches to drive sales growth, volume, and profitability within the Georgia market.
  • Draft, review, and finalize client proposal documents, ensuring alignment with EMCOR standards and pricing models.
  • Achieve sales targets while maintaining defined margin levels to expand market presence.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and new product offerings.
  • Eligible for sales incentives based on performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial HVAC, with 3-5 years of experience in Controls being advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven sales aptitude with strong customer engagement capabilities.
  • Financial literacy, including experience with cost modeling for sales proposals.
  • Proficient in drafting technical proposals.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office and advanced MS Excel.
