Position Overview:
As a key player in Valmet's Automation Business Line, the Advanced Process Control Engineer will focus on enhancing operational efficiency within the Fiber Line or Causticizing cycle. This role demands a seasoned professional with expertise in Cooking, Washing & Bleaching or TTA & CE controls, dedicated to steering customer projects from inception to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, collaborating closely with project teams and engineering partners.
- Manage all project phases, including Application, Definition and Engineering, Staging and Testing, Installation, and System Commissioning.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project development, system performance, acceptance, and post-project evaluations.
- Mentor and train colleagues; provide support to Sales Managers and Project Managers as required.
- Contribute insights for the continuous enhancement of our product offerings and operational processes.

Qualifications:
Valmet's Advanced Process Control Group is committed to delivering high-level expert services aimed at optimizing client performance in production, quality, cost, and environmental sustainability. We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Fiber Line or Causticizing Process Areas, along with experience in advanced and regulatory controls and optimization.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong troubleshooting skills, and a background in process improvement.

Personal Attributes:
The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive attitude, excellent prioritization and multitasking abilities, and the capacity to cultivate relationships with clients, colleagues, and international partners. Whether you are an emerging talent or a seasoned expert, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is essential. Proficiency in Python programming is advantageous. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time is required, with travel primarily domestic but occasionally international.
