Position: Senior Control Systems Engineer

Work Schedule: Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify challenges, strategize, and execute enhancements for current product and manufacturing process obstacles.
  • Establish and uphold documentation quality systems for both new and existing initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, process flows, work instructions, and inspection documents).
  • Conduct research, development, assessment, installation, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment to fulfill requirements.
  • Oversee the manufacturing launch of new or modified products, including setting objectives, training team members, and assessing outcomes.
  • Provide insights into product design based on principles of design for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Carry out cost-benefit analyses for product and/or manufacturing process improvements, focusing on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and efficiency gains.
  • Lead or engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, products, components, raw materials, and equipment.
  • Create and maintain detailed layouts of facility floor space, equipment, and tooling.
  • Execute routine tasks accurately and promptly according to established instructions and procedures.
  • Educate Production and Maintenance Associates to enhance their technical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities on the production floor.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector is preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems, preferably with Keyence, Omron, and/or Mitsubishi.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with high-volume CNC machining, automated assembly, and/or plastic injection molding processes.
  • Familiarity with programming FANUC robots and CNC controls is advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness in problem-solving and implementing countermeasures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of motivating team efforts to achieve objectives.
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp fundamental knowledge of the company, products, manufacturing processes, and regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
