Job Summary

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Provide instrumentation and control system engineering design, programming, and construction oversight for water and wastewater facility projects.
  • SCADA and HMI Programming: Work on both in-plant and remote telemetry projects, with expertise in HMI and PLC programming.
  • Specifications and Cost Estimation: Develop and prepare I&C system specifications, prepare cost estimates, and review and approve documentation developed by contractors and integrators.
  • Factory Witness Testing: Perform factory witness testing of Control System equipment.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect, test, and approve of I&C work provided by contractors at water and wastewater facilities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BS/BE)
  • Experience: 5 years of I&C design experience preferred; more or less will be considered.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, or AutoCAD Plant 3D, or willingness to learn; control system networking expertise and software programming capability preferred; cybersecurity experience/qualifications a bonus.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Ability to obtain a PE License within one year of employment.
