We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures to assist in diagnosis or treatment, applying sound energy to identify vascular anatomy and detect potential health issues.
- Operate vascular ultrasound units efficiently and effectively, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality and patient safety.
- Collaborate with licensed practitioners to provide patient-specific care, exercising professional judgment and maintaining a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
- Participate in providing patient-specific care standards, adhering to service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Associate Degree in a patient-care related field or a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE), or Canadian Medical Association (CMA).
- One year of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer, with a preference for previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
