We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by utilizing x-ray technology to produce high-quality images.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy, c-arm, and portable units, to produce optimal images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
- Correctly use all equipment in the clinical area, adhering to hospital guidelines for safe radiation protection.
- Assist physicians and radiologists in procedures requiring sterile technique, such as administering radiopaque contrast media.
- Assess patient conditions prior to and during radiologic procedures, providing optimum patient care and ensuring accurate documentation of patient history.
- Perform minor equipment repairs and upkeep, communicating issues to supervisors or maintenance logs.
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-approved program.
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Entry-level graduate Radiologic technologist will be accepted, depending on shift and technical responsibility.
- Preferred: Two years of experience in an acute care setting as an X-ray Technologist.
- Licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
- Registered in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
