Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Technical Sales and Business Development Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving growth by expanding our client base and developing strategic partnerships in the optics industry. You will need to possess both optical technology expertise and proven business success in high-tech markets.

Company Overview

At Optopax, we specialize in design services for advanced optical systems, including optics and camera systems for AR/VR/MR platforms, autonomous and smart machine systems, 3D imaging solutions, lightfield cameras, mobile smartphone cameras, and semiconductor packaging technologies. Our team has international experience in the semiconductor industry and a balance of technical and business development skills, offering optical test stations, test charts, LWIR testing components, and underwater optics.

Accountabilities
  • Create and execute strategies to expand our customer base and enter new markets
  • Lead sales initiatives to meet revenue targets - including pricing strategy development, sales forecasting, and budget planning
  • Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from initial prospect to deal closure
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with major clients while building a robust pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Negotiate favorable contracts and strengthen long-term client partnerships through proactive account management
  • Develop targeted marketing materials and value propositions tailored to specific market segments
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with OEMs, system integrators, and industry partners

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Optics, Physics, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSc) preferred. They should have 5-7+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within optics, photonics, or high-tech sector. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical environment is essential.
