HR Operations Specialist

Job Overview
The HR Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive suite of Human Resources services, encompassing Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Recruitment, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, collaborate with departmental managers to address employee relations and performance management challenges.
Conduct New Employee Orientation sessions
Facilitate employee benefits setup and Open Enrollment
Source and recruit qualified candidates through various platforms
Assist in the preparation and reporting of Workers' Compensation claims
Coordinate internal investigations in partnership with Quality and Compliance
Act as a liaison for staff as necessary
Support the Director of Human Resources with departmental projects, including committee participation and special initiatives
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational continuity
Engage in cross-training initiatives within the department, both as a trainer and participant
Contribute to Human Resources team meetings, taking turns leading discussions and recording minutes
Oversee personnel files for both active and terminated employees
Foster an environment that attracts and retains a diverse, high-quality workforce
Assist in planning and organizing departmental events
Support audit preparations
Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion regarding sensitive information
Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable laws
Assist the Director of Human Resources in reviewing and updating policies for consistency and efficiency
Oversee I-9 compliance for active and terminated employees
Deliver exceptional service to all internal and external stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proficient in computer applications
Familiarity with HRIS systems
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Able to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and leadership, as well as external clients and vendors
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced team environment while managing competing priorities
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Comprehensive understanding of HR practices and procedures
Experience with Isolved preferred
PHR certification is a plus
Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience required
