Job Summary and QualificationsWe are in search of a Mammography Imaging Specialist for our Breast Diagnostic Center. The Mammography Specialist operates imaging equipment to generate diagnostic images of patients' bodies and assists physicians with procedures in a sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
You will conduct mammography examinations according to established protocols on various body parts efficiently.
You will perform pre-exam screenings, welcome patients, assist them with appropriate gowns, complete history forms, fill out the technologist exam sheet, stock necessary supplies in rooms, and check labs when required.
You will verify and adhere to physicians' orders in patient charts, initial patient charts upon exam completion, start/remove IVs as needed, and safely administer contrast media using a power injector.
You will transport patients to and from different areas when assistance is unavailable, assist patients on and off the exam table, prioritize patient exams for optimal workflow, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders - physicians, colleagues, patients, and their families.
Qualifications Required:
Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiography program is mandatory.
ARRT registration with advanced certification in Mammography is required.
BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross is necessary.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is highly preferred.
