Position: Equipment Assembly Specialist

Department: Service

Reports to: Service Manager or Service Location Manager

Supervises: None

Objective:

The Equipment Assembly Specialist is tasked with the assembly and configuration of various types of machinery available for sale. This role involves conducting pre-delivery inspections and ensuring equipment is ready for customer handover. Guidance may be provided by the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman, or senior technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Service Manager and technicians in optimizing departmental operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist service technicians as required, including the delivery of parts.
  • Help service technicians with repairs, maintenance, and transportation of equipment.
  • Accountable for billable hours and assigned work orders.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs on work orders, submitting information promptly.
  • Participate in training programs aimed at skill and knowledge enhancement.
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary for job duties.
  • Keep a tidy work environment and execute tasks in an orderly manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols while performing job functions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with operating vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery assembly and setup.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of a sufficient toolset for job responsibilities (may be supplied by the company).
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • A valid forklift license is preferred.
