Job Overview

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in managing and facilitating a comprehensive array of HR functions, including Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Performance Management, New Employee Orientation, Recruitment, and adherence to internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Human Resources in addressing employee relations and performance management challenges.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Conduct New Employee Orientation sessions.
  • Manage employee benefits and Open Enrollment processes.
  • Source and recruit qualified candidates through various platforms.
  • Support Workers' Compensation reporting and investigations.
  • Coordinate internal investigations in partnership with Quality and Compliance teams.
  • Act as a liaison for staff as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources on departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational consistency.
  • Engage in cross-training within the department.
  • Participate actively in HR team meetings, including leading discussions and documenting minutes.
  • Oversee personnel files for both active and terminated employees.
  • Foster a workplace environment that attracts and retains a diverse workforce.
  • Assist in planning and organizing departmental events.
  • Support audit preparations as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and relevant laws.
  • Assist in the review and updating of HR policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee I-9 compliance for employees.
  • Deliver exceptional service to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and procedures.
  • Experience with Isolved software is preferred.
  • PHR certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
