Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned IT Business Analyst who can effectively connect business requirements with technological solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the apparel sector, proficiency in SQL, and the capability to convert business needs into efficient IT solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis: Perform thorough business analysis to capture and document requirements, concentrating on the specific needs and challenges within the apparel sector. This includes documenting requirements for various system applications such as ERP, WMS, CRM, and others.
  • Data Management: Leverage SQL to access databases, create reports, and deliver actionable insights to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with various departments to design and execute IT solutions that enhance operations, boost efficiency, and promote business growth.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, ensuring that project specifications are met on schedule and within scope, or effectively communicate any necessary trade-offs.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication regarding requirements, project timelines, obstacles, and risks as they emerge.
  • Process Improvement: Identify potential areas for process enhancements and technological upgrades to uphold best-in-class standards.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, process diagrams, and user manuals. Assist solution architects and developers with technical documentation as required.
  • Support: Provide assistance and technical expertise to business users across various systems and platforms. Help manage the IT support ticket queue and prioritize issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years as an IT Business Analyst within the apparel industry. Experience with at least one ERP implementation is essential, with multiple implementations preferred. Proven ability to manage projects and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL with a strong capability to query databases and generate insightful reports. Familiarity with other databases and BI tools is advantageous. Experience with Google Big Query and Google Looker Studio is also beneficial.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive understanding of the apparel industry's business processes, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to drive effective solutions. Ability to clearly capture business requirements and provide technical documentation support as needed.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team setting, demonstrating a proactive and positive attitude. Willingness to take on tasks as necessary to support the team and business.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
