Overview of the Role:

The successful candidate will engage primarily in client-oriented business development efforts aimed at expanding market presence and opportunity pipeline. This individual will serve as a key resource in clean energy business development, demonstrating a proven history of cultivating robust client relationships and successfully originating, managing, and finalizing a diverse range of sales opportunities. This position encompasses all stages of client engagement, including prospecting, qualifying, proposing, negotiating, and closing sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or surpass personal and organizational sales targets for revenue across key sectors including Lighting, Solar, EV Charging, Storage, and Geothermal initiatives.
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities for Brightcore by leveraging existing client networks and market relationships.
  • Enhance client relationships and foster enterprise-wide engagement with new strategic accounts, supported directly by Brightcore's leadership and Partnerships team.
  • Identify and collaborate with channel partners to broaden the scope and depth of opportunity pipelines.
  • Collaborate with internal product support and analysts to customize proposals that exceed client expectations in terms of financial, operational, and sustainability goals for projects.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in client-facing roles within the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
  • A strong commitment to achieving personal business growth objectives.
  • Familiarity with essential building systems and the renewable energy landscape.
  • A personal and professional commitment to advancing a clean energy future.
  • A successful track record in client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales environments to address various influences and identify key client business needs.
  • Experience and knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability solutions in commercial, institutional, or industrial markets.
  • Proficient client relationship development skills that facilitate access to key decision-makers.
  • Local market knowledge that supports a targeted approach to specific vertical markets.
  • Strong collaborative skills that enable seamless teamwork across Brightcore to achieve desired client outcomes.
  • A relentless passion for helping clients meet their energy efficiency and sustainability goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position entails supervisory responsibilities.

Work Schedule:

Employees are expected to work a minimum of thirty (30) hours weekly to maintain full-time status for benefits eligibility; however, the demands of the role will typically require an average of forty (40) hours, with overtime as necessary. The salary range and/or hourly rate provided is a good faith estimate of potential base compensation for a successful applicant at the time of this job posting and may be adjusted in the future. Various factors may influence the determination of an employee's base salary and/or rate, including location, specialization, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity. Brightcore also offers a comprehensive benefits package to complement the base salary. The annual salary range for this position is $150,000-180,000 and is eligible for participation in Brightcore's quarterly commission structure.

  • Travel may be required up to 25% within designated regions.

Remote Work Guidelines:

In recognition of the benefits of remote work, Brightcore operates under a hybrid model. Eligible employees may work remotely for two (2) days each week at their discretion, subject to final approval by their direct supervisor. This policy may be modified at Brightcore's discretion.
